Becoming involved with Devon EMS Ambulance and First Aid Services can be very rewarding, firstly you will be working alongside a great team of people, all with a common interest, you will have the opportunity to gain extra knowledge and new skills, get to visit various events, we are committed to CPD and will help you to realise your true potential.
You are most likely to become involved as one of our volunteer members, however there are limited opportunities to work alongside our regular volunteer members at certain events as bank staff which are paid opportunities however such opportunities are very limited.
Upon expressing an interest to become involved you will be sent full information including a Power-Point presentation, should you wish to proceed to the next stage we will arrange for you to have a remote discussion with our Training and Wellbeing Lead, following a sucessful outcome you will be accepted into the team and asked to complete an application form which will require the names of referees.
You will be invited to join our Office 365 Team Site which will offer a communication platform with other team members, learning resources, and a link to our regular Wednesday evening Personal Development sessions which include a mix of Live Remote Training and Face to Face learning at Buckfastleigh, which has been discontinued for immediate future.

Support Volunteers play a vital role in keeping the Devon EMS-AmbFAS Team functioning efficiently.
Roles include assisting with the upkeep of the Colin Sully Centre which is our base on the South Devon Railway at Buckfastleigh, simple maintenance tasks on our vehicles also ensuring that they are clean and fit for purpose when they go out.
On some of the larger events which we undertake you could be assisting with site set up and take down, or maybe functioning as a radio operator at some events.
If these roles do not interest you then maybe you will be up for fundraising and PR or even a non-clinical driving role.
